"We had stayed at the Urbanite hotel 2 years previously and as we had enjoyed it so much the first time round we had decided to book it again and we weren't disappointed. Our room was more like an apartment than a hotel room and was very spacious, quiet and clean. The breakfast was very good, there was a lot of choice and we really enjoyed it. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and for much of the time had it to ourselves. The receptionist staff were kind courteous and were also friendly and informative and a special mention must be made of Deth and Kham who went out of their way to be of assistance."

"I’ve been travelling for over three years now, and this is by far the cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in. They clean the showers every time someone finishes using them, and the rooms are tidy and comfortable. The owner is also super friendly and gives you a Google link for the whole loop where you can find all the important stops, organised into different recommendation groups (from “must-dos” and “can-dos” to “do not”). It includes viewpoints, accommodation, restaurants, and ATMs. You can also leave your backpack here while you’re doing the loop, and card payment is possible. If you ever have any questions or problems, you can always message the owner on WhatsApp."

"This place offers a very personal touch from the moment you check in. The wonderful manager, Steve, is charming, polite, and extremely helpful. From the welcome onward, you immediately feel well taken care of. The food is excellent and the breakfasts are generous and varied. The cottages are very clean, well equipped, and decorated in a local style that really adds to the atmosphere. There is also an outdoor gym (which is quite rare in Laos) and a swimming pool. Most importantly, it is genuinely quiet here. Many hotels in Laos claim that, but then they turn out to be next to a road or a bridge. Here it really feels peaceful, calm, and homely. Even though the property is about 15 minutes from town, the hotel runs a free tuk-tuk shuttle every two hours. It can be booked through the hotel’s app — just like spa massages or tours. Steve also arranged for us to participate in the traditional alms-giving ceremony in a nearby village, including preparing offerings for the monks."

"A simple house in the traditional style for the old town. Very friendly staff, you can get help with tours, tickets, transport,.... I have rented a motorbike which was in good condition and also came at a good price. Beds are pretty firm, I loved it. Balconies/terrace are of a comfortable size. For breakfast, you have a number of choices. Nothing super fancy but enough and freshly made. Tables are outside in the yard, which I liked. The location is one of the best in town. Walking to the night market, D&T supermarket, Mekong river, or Nam Khan River, all in no time. Yet in a quiet area. The latter is if great value since the house, as pretty much all traditional houses in the old town, is not super soundproof. Staff keeps the place absolutely clean."

"Best stay at Laos ever. A really great and lovely family. I had an accident over there and they took me to hospital and took so good care of me. I’m really happy that I stayed there trough this time at the accident, cause no one would have take care of me like this family. Thank you for everything. I just can recommend the guesthouse especially when you are traveling alone and need a place to feel home and save."
