"Absolutely wonderful stay. The place was spotless, and everything was clearly very well cared for. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made the stay even more pleasant. It was quiet and peaceful, perfect for resting, yet the location was excellent and very convenient. The room layout was very practical and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to feel comfortable right away. The internet was extremely fast and reliable. The bathroom was a real highlight — a fantastic shower with both a rain shower and a movable shower head, and the water pressure was excellent. The host was friendly, attentive, and very responsive to any questions. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend this place."

"Alfa is a very friendly host who will help you with all he can without any opportunistic motives. His place is clean and welcoming. Large and tasty breakfast included. The dinner they cooked for us was absolutely delicious, we loved the Peulh cheese! And all this at a very good price - great value for money. Very funny for us Belgians to be welcomed in Dutch :-)"

The surroundings of the house are not really beautiful, but we stayed here as an overnight stop between Cotonou and the Tanéka villages.

If you are a light sleeper, you might find the noise from the road (10m away) and the railway behind it excessive, as well as noise from the next door neighbours with small kids, etc.

"There was much to like about our stay - the room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a good shower. The location - a short drive from the main Belle Mare beach and not too far from the main regional hub of Flacq (with its twice weekly market and also Super-U for those who prefer more modern facilities) - was good and the walk from the accommodation to the dining area through an abundance of local floral was a delight. But biggest praise must go to owners Roshan and Sang (and their son Kite) who were so warm and welcoming - they made each guest feel like a VIP, nothing was too much trouble for them and the food (breakfast and dinner) freshly prepared by Sang each day was varied but always delicious. We had a wonderful stay with no complaints whatsoever. Well, actually, just one - we never did get to see Roshan feeding the Dodo."

It would have been great to have had a fridge in the room

"What a gem, don’t hesitate to book. Louis is amazing, helping us so much with our stay. We adored his company. Make sure you have breakfast here, it’s beautiful so much care was taken into preparing this. Laundry service is available here. Wonderful Restaurant recommendations too!!!"

Thank you so much for everything and opening up your home and making us feel like family I will always remember the aroha that you have shown us whilst our visit to Rarotonga. I wish you nothing but the best. I hope anyone that books your house respects and appreciates you and your beautiful whare/ house that you work hard to maintain. "The location is wonderful! The beautiful house where we rented a unit is right on the lake. The house is well-kept and beautiful. The weather was cold and a little foggy, which added to the atmosphere. In the summer, the residents walk 20 meters and are already in the lake, which invites swimming. The unit we got itself was quite small but sufficient. The breakfast was good. We stayed one night, but we would definitely go back there for a longer stay."

"Great property in a very quiet location, though still close to the restaurants. Francis has taken personal care of us. House is lovely, clean, kitchen is well equiped. We took tour with Francis as well, both were wonderfull. You can spend your time at the beach and will be there alone most of the time, since the property is small (pls note that swimming is not recommend, as pretty much everywhere on this island). We have very much enjoyed our vacation there."
