"Our stay at Mark’s exceeded our expectations. Most accomodation on the Galapagos is ridiculously expensive or super budget with little attention/ care. Mark’s is neither of those. From the beginning there was excellent communication. The space is well equipped with a kitchen if you enjoy cooking and is located in a more suburban area with many local stores to purchase food. It’s only a 10minute walk to the centre which we enjoyed as we saw a different side to Santa Cruz. We would definitely stay again! Thanks Andrea for making us feel so welcome."

"With budget accomodation it is to be expected that you lose some frills. One of those being hot water. This wasn’t really an issue for us as the Galapagos is quite warm anyway."

"The location is not optimal and you walk about 20 minutes to the port. But you live with the locals and get to know a completely different and more authentic side of Santa Cruz. There, the restaurants, snacks and stores are also much cheaper. Super nice and helpful owner. Gladly again! :)"

"We stayed in four different budget-friendly hotels in Puerto Ayora, this one was by far the best value for money. I love to cook and was really surprised to see quality kitchenware, a sharp knife and a gas cooker, all in excellent order. The owners clearly took pride in their business as the room was sparkly clean on arrival."

"Bom custo benefício pensando nos valores mais elevados da região. Local simples, porém confortável, anfitriões simpáticos, possui uma pequena cozinha equipada, frigobar funcionando bem. A localização é boa por possuir comércios próximos como mercadinhos e padarias, local seguro para transitar a noite, porém até o centro e a orla é uma boa caminhada, mas da pra encarar ou pegar um táxi por uns $1,50 (preferimos encarar a caminhada rsrs)"

"O chuveiro não possui água quente e o banho é bem gelado, mas não foi um grande problema pois o clima ajuda. A limpeza na primeira estadia deixou a desejar, quando retornamos em uma outra reserva estava melhor."

"Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin. Da es bei der Buchung (booking Beschreibung fehlerhaft) ein Problem gab war und unser Zimmer doch keine Küche hatte durften wir am ersten Tag eine andere Küche nutzen (von einem freien Zimmer) und haben dafür das Zimmer zum günstigeren Preis erhalten. Lage war bei den Locals d.h ca. 10min vom Hafen zu Fuss entfernt. Dies hat uns jedoch gefallen da wir so mit den Einheimischen zusammen „leben“ konnten (sehen wie sie leben, welche märkte sie besuchen und wo sie günstig zu Mittag essen etc.) und gleichzeitig war der Preis entsprechend günstig verglichen mit den überteuerten Hotels in der Nähe des Hafens."

"Während unserem Aufenthalt gab es einige Renovierungsarbeiten, der Lärm hat etwas gestört aber nicht weiter schlimm da es am Abend ruhig war."

"Hosts were very friendly, the place had everything you need. Great value for money. It is in the local area away from tourists and has what you need for a short stay. Small stove for kitchen was nice as well. People in the surrounding area were friendly too."
