"Fantastic experience! The camp is located in the desert (15 min drive through the dunes) and can only be reached with a 4x4 or pick-up by the camp staff which needs to be arranged beforehand. It really feels like staying in the middle of the desert with no other camp to be seen. The tents are quite big and nicely decorated, each with a private outdoor bathroom connected to the tent. In the evening at 8pm there is a buffet dinner with a bonfire afterwards. Highly recommend!"

"Nice campsite at Kolpa river, exactly on the side of the river. There are places for tents and caravans and also mobile homes. View is perfect, I also like the restaurant. Mobile homes are quite small, but okay for a couple of days."

Like all rural places barking dogs can be annoying, if light sleeper get earplugs..

"The campsite has an astonishing view of the lake Manyara and the national park. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The unique igloos have a pleasant interior atmosphere and are comfortable to sleep in. The campsite is ideally located for visiting the various national parks in the region. The restaurant serves excellent food."

"Truly friendly staff, everyone was soooo welcoming, we felt over the moon when arrived to this camp...it is one in a lifetime experience...the staff goes over the mile to support you, I wish we stayed for to nights instead of one... we travelled the world but This Camp, its people, food, ambiance, scenery is out of this world... would highly recommend to everyone. Le village de Simonga est très authentique de la pauvreté zambienne sans misère,ici ils sont heureux avec très peu. Pour moi habitué à un peu d'abondance il manque beaucoup ici sans aller à la ville.

"We had a lovely stay! The pool was absolutely wonderful and the staff were really friendly. The food from the restaurant was some of the best we had in Guatemala! The gardens were gorgeous and had some stunning birds in the trees! The room was really beautiful and the shower was powerful."
