"Perfectly located on Glasgow's West End in walking distance to the city centre, the University of Glasgow and Kelvingrove Park just around the corner. Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street, both just minutes away, with their many choices for food and drinks, are great for both lunch and dinner. If you are traveling on a budget I highly recommend this place. I'll be staying there next time. Very quiet also. AC also available and good quality WIFI."

Loved the balcony - but could be a problem in the height of the season as it would have been overlooked if the rooms near ours was occupied as their balconies were very close. I would have loved to use the swimming pool if it had been heated, but being that our stay was in March the water was too cold."

The description of the location was a little misleading as one of the pubs mentioned had closed down - some years ago, but the details had not been amended on the website - which did in fact influence our choice in Sandpiper’s favour, and we were disappointed that it wasn’t nearer the supermarket mentioned in the write-up, either. Also, I put my suitcase in the corner of the bedroom flat - and when I moved it, I could see it had picked up a lot of dust, indicating that the corners of the bedroom weren’t very well cleaned!

"A very nice and well equipped apartment on the 8th floor. The young lady who represented the owners was very helpful and nice about everything. The lady who was responsible for cleaning did a superb job."

As I have a problem with a leg I wrote the owners beforehand to be assured that access to the apartment was easy and was informed that it was, however, when we arrived it turned out that we first had to access one building and take a lift four floors and then walk a bit to access the building with the apartment. It should also be mentioned that there was a problem with the lock on the door leading out to the street, and it was often difficult to open from the outside. For the first three nights we were assigned an other apartment one floor below that was not up to standard at all. We were, however granted a discount for the inconvenience. We had not been informed about this beforehand. The television in the apartment did not work, and was not fixed during our stay. The apartment was on the eight floor and there was no sign for emergency exit on the floor. The owners lived in Italy and all contact with them was through the young lady representing them in Mindelo.

"Jelena met us at the property and gave us the keys. From before our arrival through until we were in the taxi back to the airport at the end of our stay, she was very helpful. The apartment has been reviewed accurately by others. It's very comfortable and in a wonderful location ... NokNok, a great Thai restaurant with a lunch combo deal, is very close by. We would definitely come back."

If you prefer a firmer mattress, you may find the bed too soft. That's the only thing we can think of.

"Our whole family loved this place. The garden setting is beautiful and very well maintained, and the kids absolutely loved the pool — it was a real highlight for them. The location is superb: close to the beach and right by the marine reserve, which made for some of the best snorkelling we experienced. A fantastic spot for a relaxed family stay."

"Gorgeous view of Treichville. Thoughtful renovations, like a luxury hotel. The kitchenette was adequate and I appreciated the complimentary bottles of water. Hot showers and air conditioning. Great location in the centre of Plateau but note that the neighbourhood is deserted after sunset and on weekends. Still, I felt safe because of the security guards around important buildings."

Only one functioning elevator. Location and elevator can be difficult to find. Check-in instructions could be more descriptive. There are no signs for the apartment suites on the ground floor. The elevator is on the right passage as you walk inside the building. The reception is on the 14th floor.

The apartment was very well equipped but really quite small for 4 people

"The apartment was spotlessly clean and spacious and it is so nice to have a serviced apartment. The location is very good, the train and buses are a 5 minute walk and you are surrounded by restaurants and a supermarket closeby and it is a very short walk to views over the harbour. I would highly recommend this hotel."

A very minor thing, the cups are so small for having a tea or coffee!

Yolanda was our contact and she was very helpful, always available to answer our questions, to give explication and help us in our fabulous trip in Cusco!😍 Thanks so much Yolanda! "Seyfu is giving his best to satisfy his guests. He came to pick me up to the airport, showed around Lalibela, even took me as a guide to few rock-hewn churches, for free, provided breakfast every morning, all for free, even though it wasn’t included in my booking. His place is clean, yet within local community, which I really liked. You see how locals live. It is onsuite room with large bed, separate entrance, free wifi, towels changed every day, bed made every day. I don’t have enough words to describe his hospitality. You simply become friend with Seyfu straight away. Thank you brother for everything!"
